Whatever floats your boat brownies
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT
1-2 cup chocolate chips (semisweet, white, butterscotch, peanut butter) or raisins or chopped maraschino cherries or nuts or M%26amp;M's or Reese's pieces or miniature marshmallows
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease an 8 inch square pan or line with foil.
In a medium bowl combine melted butter and cocoa and stir until cocoa is dissolved.
Add sugar and mix well.
Add eggs one at a time and stir until well combined.
Stir in vanilla, flour and salt until you no longer see any flour (do not overmix).
Fold in';WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT';!
Spread in pan and bake for approximately 25 minutes.
DO NOT OVER-BAKE -- your brownies will come out dry. Adjust time/temp accordingly for your oven. If you do the knife/toothpick test, it should come out with moist crumbs, not clean.
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
Brownies
Stir together: 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/3 cup baking(powdered)cocoa %26amp; 1 cup of sugar. Add in 1/2 cup cooking oil, 1 teaspoon vanilla %26amp; 2eggs. Mix til it's smooth, but don't beat it to death. Spread into a greased 9'; square pan and bake in a pre-heated 350degree oven for 20-25 minutes....don't over bake...as soon as the edges look like they are tugging at the sides of the pan--take it out.
You can add 1-1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips (or any chip flavor) or M%26amp;M's or Reeses pieces or any chopped nuts that you like. You can also frost these. Adding seasonal sprinkles on the top while they bake is a nice touch if they are for something special. I do find that the more ';stuff'; I add in, the longer they take to bake.
