What is the best brownie recipe you have tried that was not from the box?

because it is freezing outside and i am stuck indoors, i want to make some brownies from scratch. what are the recipes you have tried that were really yummy. i like brownies that a chewy and chocolatyWhat is the best brownie recipe you have tried that was not from the box?
Butterscotch Brownies





1 stick Butter


1 1/2 c packed brown sugar


2 eggs


1 tsp Vanilla


1 1/2 c sifted flour


2 t baking powder


1 c chopped nuts (optional)





Preheat oven to 350F. spray 8x8 pan or 9x9 pan with non stick spray dust with flour. In a saucepan over Medium heat melt butter, remove from heat and add sugar, blending well. Add the eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition. Stir in flour, baking powder and vanilla. Mix thoroughly, add nuts. Pour into prepared Pan. Bake about 25 minutes. cut into 16 squares and Roll in a dish of powdered sugar before serving.





Substitute about 3 tbsp cocoa for 3 tbsp of the flour. (to make chocolately)

here is the recipe I use, it always turns out





CHOCOLATE BROWNIES





1/2 cup butter or margarine


2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted


1 cup sugar


2 eggs, well beaten


1/2 cup flour


1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)





Cream butter, add melted chocolate and mix well. Blend in sugar well. Add eggs and mix well. Blend in flour. Stir in nuts.


Pour into a greased 8'; or 9'; pan, spread evenly. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool before cutting.





If desired, ice brownings with a butter icing.

CHEWY CHOCOLATE BROWNIES





Melt:





2 cubes butter


6 tbsp. cocoa


2 c. sugar





Beat in:





4 eggs, one at a time


1 c. flour


1 c. nuts





Bake in a large cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. May take a bit longer at higher altitudes. Frost with powdered sugar
